Emergency Tyre Call Out in Bow – local know-how
Bow sits between our Bethnal Green (E1) and Canary Wharf (E14) bases, so E3 is quick for us from either side. Night-time calls come from the A12 towards the Blackwall Tunnel, Bow Road by Bow Church, Mile End Road and the roads around Victoria Park and Mile End Park. If you’re near the Olympic Park side on an event day, tell us – roads can be closed.
Nearest Yellow Tyres base: Bethnal Green (E1), about 1 mile from the centre of E3 as the crow flies. With around 30 of our 46 fitters on the road at any hour, the nearest free fitter is sent.
We cover Bow, Old Ford, Mile End, Bromley-by-Bow, Fish Island, Bow Common and the rest of E3.

Roads in Bow where we’re called out
A12 and the Bow Interchange
The A12 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach and the Bow Flyover meet the A11 at the Bow Interchange. It’s one of the busiest junctions in East London – never stop on it; turn off into a side road first.
A11 Bow Road
Bow Road runs from Mile End to the Bow roundabout with bus lanes and a segregated cycle lane. Stop in a side street if your tyre fails.
Roman Road
Roman Road’s market and shops mean slow traffic and plenty of parked cars. Our Old Ford call-outs are on the streets either side.
Bromley-by-Bow and the A12 retail units
The superstore and retail units by Bromley-by-Bow station are a common place for drivers to discover a flat.
A11 Mile End Road and the Mile End junction
Mile End Road runs west towards Whitechapel past Mile End station and Queen Mary University, with cycle superhighway kerbs along it.
Old Ford Road and Wick Lane
Routes north through Old Ford towards Hackney Wick and Fish Island, with residential streets and light industry.
Emergency Tyre Call Out Bow – your questions
My tyre blew on the A12 by the Bow flyover – what should I do?
Keep control, get off the live lanes at the next exit or safe place, get everyone out on the side away from traffic and call us with your direction. If you’re in danger, call 999.
How quickly can you get to Bow at night?
Usually quickly – Bow is between two of our bases. Typically 15–60 minutes, and the price is agreed on the phone before we set off.
Can you come to Victoria Park or Mile End Park?
Yes – tell us which gate or the nearest road and we’ll come to the car.
Is there an extra charge on motorways or dual carriageways?
Only on A roads and motorways. A-road and motorway call-outs (any A or M route, including dual carriageway A roads) cost an extra £60–£100 on top of the normal price, because of the journey and the work involved on those roads. Normal roadside jobs on local streets have no extra charge. It’s never hidden: we confirm the full price, including any extra, on the phone before we set off. Safety first – on a hard shoulder, get behind the barrier and call 999 if you’re in danger, or National Highways on 0300 123 5000.
Do you come out to motorway hard shoulders, including the M25?
Yes – our fitters attend hard shoulders across our whole coverage area, including the M25. Safety first: get everyone out on the left and behind the barrier, and call 999 if you’re in danger (or National Highways on 0300 123 5000) before calling us.
Is it safe to wait in the car?
If you’re on a fast road, no – get everyone out on the side away from traffic and wait behind a barrier if there is one. If you’re in danger, call 999.
Why we confirm by phone: we check the size from your sidewall, lock the price before we set off (no price going up on the day) and make sure the right tyre is on the van. We’ll call you back within 10 minutes. Request a callback
