Emergency and 24-hour tyre help in Canary Wharf
A flat, a blowout or a nail in the tyre can happen at any hour, and in Canary Wharf it’s often on or near the A1203 Limehouse Link. Our fitters work through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, and the service is the same at 2am as at 2pm. Same-day and booked fittings are available too, if your tyre is legal but needs replacing soon.
- Get somewhere safe first – a side road, car park or lay-by – and put your hazard lights on.
- On a fast road, get everyone out on the side away from traffic and wait behind a barrier if there is one. If you’re in danger, call 999.
- Don’t keep driving on a flat – it can wreck the tyre and the wheel.
- Call 020 3633 9533 with your exact location and vehicle. Have your tyre size ready when you call: it’s on the tyre wall (e.g. 205/55 R16). Not sure? Stay with the vehicle and we’ll help you find it over the phone.
- Make sure your locking wheel nut key is with the vehicle. Lost it? Tell us when you call – we can remove most types.
Roads and trouble spots we know in Canary Wharf
A1203 Limehouse Link
The Limehouse Link tunnel joins The Highway to Canary Wharf. There’s no safe place to change a tyre inside it, so carry on carefully to Westferry Circus or the Aspen Way junction and stop off the main carriageway.
A1261 Aspen Way
Aspen Way links Canary Wharf with the A12 and the Blackwall Tunnel. It’s a red route – leave at the next junction and call us from a side road or car park.
Westferry Road and Manchester Road
The loop road round the Isle of Dogs is where we see most residential call-outs: Millwall, Cubitt Town, Mudchute and the riverside developments.
Marsh Wall and South Quay
Tower blocks, building sites and loading bays mean plenty of screws and nails in tyres. A fitter can usually come straight to your building’s car park.
Westferry Circus and Westferry Road
Westferry Circus is the roundabout at the western end of the Canary Wharf estate, linking Limehouse with the Isle of Dogs. Westferry Road runs south past Millwall towards our Tiller Road base.
Preston’s Road and Blackwall
Preston’s Road links Aspen Way with Cubitt Town, past the Blackwall Basin. The Blackwall Tunnel northern approach is close by – a common place for drivers to come off with a puncture.
Where we’re called out most in Canary Wharf
Canary Wharf jobs are mostly in car parks: the estate’s office car parks, residential basements on the Isle of Dogs and South Quay, and hotel car parks around Westferry Circus. We also cover the riverside streets of Limehouse and Westferry and the busy Poplar side of the estate.
Parking and where we can work
Underground car parks in E14 often have height limits and security gates. Tell us the building name, the car park entrance, level and bay, and let the concierge or security desk know a tyre fitter is coming. Check that work is allowed in your car park – if it isn’t, we’ll agree the nearest safe spot.
Flat on a main road? Our breakdown spots guide covers what to do on the Blackwall Tunnel, Rotherhithe Tunnel, Limehouse Link.
Common breakdown spots in Canary Wharf
The Limehouse Link tunnel and Aspen Way are where most Canary Wharf blowouts start: drivers can’t stop in the tunnel and come out onto Westferry Circus or the Aspen Way slips needing help. We also see plenty of kerb and ramp damage in the estate’s underground car parks, where the bays and ramps are tight, and pothole damage on Manchester Road and Westferry Road around the Isle of Dogs.
Construction at South Quay and around Wood Wharf still leaves screws and nails on the road – a slow puncture on the way out of work is a common evening call.
Typical tyre jobs in Canary Wharf
Canary Wharf is where our head office is – 10–16 Tiller Road, E14 – so this is home ground. Many of our jobs are office workers who come back to the car park to find a flat, or want a tyre changed while they’re at their desk. We work in the estate’s car parks with permission, and many drivers simply leave us the car park, level and bay.
Prestige cars and executive saloons are a big part of the work here: run-flats on BMWs, OE-marked tyres on Mercedes, Audi and Porsche, and larger 19–21 inch sizes. We also look after chauffeur and private-hire cars working the Canary Wharf ranks, delivery vans serving the offices and towers, and residents on the Isle of Dogs.
Real local fitters in Canary Wharf, not a booking middleman
You’re calling the fitter, not a booking agent. Our own vans, our own fitters, from 4 East London bases. Our own fitters are on the road 24/7 inside our coverage area, and the call is answered by the team that comes out – so we can tell you honestly when a fitter will reach you. A Yellow Tyres-signed van turns up fully kitted – with a Snap-on tyre changer, a TIP TOP wheel balancer and a torque wrench on board – so we balance your wheels on site and tighten every wheel nut to the manufacturer’s setting, not just fit the tyre. Canary Wharf tyre fitting FAQs
Can you change a tyre in an underground car park at Canary Wharf?
In most cases, yes. Tell us the building, the level and any height limit. If our van can’t get in, we’ll agree the nearest safe place to work.
Where is your Isle of Dogs base?
Our head office is at 10-16 Tiller Rd, London E14 8PX. The whole team supports Canary Wharf, so the nearest available fitter from any of our 4 bases is sent.
I’ve got a puncture in the Limehouse Link – what do I do?
Keep going slowly if it’s safe, and leave the tunnel at the first exit. Stop off the main road – Westferry Circus or a side street – then call us. If you have to stop in the tunnel, follow its emergency signs and call 999.
Can you fit tyres while I’m at work?
Yes. Tell us where the car is parked and how we can get the keys or access it, carry on working, and we’ll call you when it’s done.
Can you fit run-flat or OE-marked tyres at Canary Wharf?
Yes – including BMW ★, Mercedes MO, Audi AO and Porsche N0 tyres. Give us the size or registration when you call so we bring the right tyre.
Can I leave my car and keys with you while I work?
Tell us what suits you when you call. Many customers give us the car park, level and bay and meet the fitter briefly – we’ll agree the details on the phone.
