Brand pages
OE marks, run-flat and other markings explained
Some tyres carry a car maker’s approval mark on the sidewall, showing the tyre was developed or approved for that maker’s cars. Our list shows these as small badges:
- ★ (star) – BMW and MINI.
- MO, MO1, MOE, MO-S – Mercedes-Benz (MO1 is used on many AMG models; MOE is Mercedes’ run-flat version).
- AO, AO1, AOE, RO1, RO2 – Audi (RO1/RO2 are often used on quattro GmbH / RS models; AOE is a run-flat).
- N0, N1, N2, N3, N4 and NA0–NF0 – Porsche; a higher number is a later version of the approved tyre.
- J, JLR, LR – Jaguar and Land Rover. VOL – Volvo. T0, T1, T2 – Tesla. Others include MGT (Maserati), AR (Alfa Romeo), L (Lamborghini), K1/F (Ferrari), B (Bentley), MC (McLaren), AML/AM (Aston Martin), POL (Polestar) and LTS (Lotus).
- Run-flat (RFT, ROF, SSR, ZP, EMT, MOE, AOE) – reinforced tyres that let you drive a limited distance after a puncture. Only fit run-flats to cars designed for them.
- XL – extra load (reinforced). C – commercial / van tyres, often shown with two load indexes such as 109/107R (single / twin wheels). Seal – built-in puncture sealant. Silent – foam liner that reduces road noise.

How our tyre prices work
- Each price is for one tyre, supplied and fitted at your home, work or the roadside – Bead sealer, wheel balancing, torque-set wheel nuts and disposal of your old tyres included with every tyre fitted – balanced on the machine in our van, with every wheel nut or bolt tightened with a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s setting. Before we leave, we check the pressures on all your tyres – included (except on a hard shoulder or in busy live traffic, where we leave quickly for safety). Old tyres are taken away for environmentally responsible disposal at no extra cost.
- These are guide prices from our current list. Call or WhatsApp with your size and location and we’ll confirm today’s price before the van sets off.
- A-road and motorway call-outs (any A or M route, including dual carriageway A roads): extra £60–£100 on top of the normal price, because of the journey and the work involved on those roads, confirmed on the phone before we set off. Normal roadside jobs on local streets have no extra charge – no hidden fees.

What do the badges like ★, MO and AO mean?
They are car makers’ approval marks: ★ for BMW and MINI, MO for Mercedes-Benz, AO for Audi, N0–N4 for Porsche, and so on. See the OE marks section on this page, or our OE tyre replacement page if you want to keep your car’s original-equipment tyres.
