Tyres fitted at home – no garage, no waiting room
Yellow Tyres fits tyres at your home – on the drive, outside your house or in your residents’ bay – across North, East, South East, South and Central London and the Essex borders. New tyres start from £130 fitted, balanced on the machine in our van, and you can book a time that suits you or call us for same-day help, 24/7.
Taking a car to a tyre garage means driving there, waiting, and driving back – and if the tyre is flat or damaged, getting there at all is a problem. With home tyre fitting the garage comes to you. You’re calling the fitter, not a booking agent. Our own vans, our own fitters, from 4 East London bases.
A Yellow Tyres-signed van turns up fully kitted – with a Snap-on tyre changer, a TIP TOP wheel balancer and a torque wrench on board – so we balance your wheels on site and tighten every wheel nut to the manufacturer’s setting, not just fit the tyre.
How home tyre fitting works
Tell us the size
Read it from the tyre wall – for example 205/55 R16 91V – front and rear. Registration lookups can be wrong.
Agree the price and time
We confirm the tyre, the price and the time; a small deposit (SumUp link or bank transfer) books it.
We fit it at your door
The fitter fits and balances the tyre on site. You pay the balance on site when it’s done – SumUp link, bank transfer or cash.
Prices for home tyre fitting
Prices: new tyres from £130 fitted (extra tyres on the same visit from £70), premium from £190, van tyres from £170; puncture repair or fitting your spare £80–£100 including the call-out. Bead sealer, wheel balancing, torque-set wheel nuts and disposal of your old tyres included with every tyre fitted – balanced on the machine in our van, with every wheel nut or bolt tightened with a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s setting. Before we leave, we check the pressures on all your tyres – included (except on a hard shoulder or in busy live traffic, where we leave quickly for safety). Old tyres are taken away for environmentally responsible disposal at no extra cost. We only fit brand-new tyres; we don’t sell part-worn or used tyres. Full price list.
What we fit at home
- Budget, mid-range and premium tyres, 13 to 23 inch
- Run-flat, noise-cancelling and OE-marked tyres – run-flat tyres
- Van tyres for vans up to 3.5 tonnes – van tyres
- Tyres you bought online – fitting your own tyres
- Punctures repaired where safe – mobile tyre repair
Before we arrive
Have your tyre size ready (from the tyre wall) and make sure your locking wheel nut key is with the vehicle. Leave a little space around the wheel we’re working on if you can – we’ll do the rest.

Booked a slot elsewhere but need it sooner?
If you’ve booked tyres for later in the week but the tyre won’t wait – it’s gone flat, it’s bulging, or you need the car today – call us. We’ll check your size (read it from the tyre wall), give you a price and a time today, and fit it wherever the car is. Cancelling or changing your other booking is between you and that provider, so check their terms first.
- Same day, 24/7 – typically 15–60 minutes for emergencies
- Most common sizes on the van; others usually sourced within a few hours
- Price agreed on the phone; small deposit, balance when it’s done
Home tyre fitting FAQs
Can you fit tyres on my driveway or outside my house?
Yes. We fit on driveways, on the street outside your house, in residents’ bays and in private car parks – anywhere it’s safe and legal to work. If it’s a private or shared car park, please check we’re allowed to work there.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone needs to be with the car at the start (to confirm the job and hand over the locking wheel nut key, if fitted) and to pay the balance at the end. Most people carry on with their day indoors while we work.
How long does home tyre fitting take?
It depends on the car and how many tyres – we’ll give you an arrival time and an idea of how long when you book. Balancing is done on the van, so it’s all done in one visit.
How much is home tyre fitting?
New tyres from £130 fitted at your home, extra tyres on the same visit from £70, premium tyres from £190. If you’ve bought tyres online, we fit them for £100 for the first and £60 for each extra.
Can I book home tyre fitting for a set time?
Yes – as well as emergencies, we book home fitting for a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends. Call or send a booking request with your tyre size.
Do you take the old tyres away?
Yes. Disposal of your old tyres is included in the price – we take them away for environmentally responsible disposal.
Do new tyres come with a warranty?
We don’t offer an extended warranty on new tyres, because tyres are wear-and-tear items. A manufacturing fault normally shows up during fitting – a faulty tyre won’t seat and seal on the rim when it’s inflated – so we spot it before we leave and never fit a faulty tyre. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
Is it more expensive than going to a garage?
Compare like for like: a garage needs you to drive there (on a damaged tyre, if it’s a puncture) and wait. Our price includes coming to your home, fitting, bead sealer and balancing – agreed on the phone before we set off.
