Mobile run-flat tyre fitting
Yellow Tyres supplies and fits run-flat tyres at your home, workplace or the roadside across North, East, South East, South and Central London and the Essex borders, 24 hours a day. New tyres start from £130 fitted and premium tyres from £190; run-flat prices depend on size and brand and are confirmed on the phone before we set off.
Run-flat tyres have stiffened sidewalls that hold the car up for a limited distance after a puncture, which is why so many BMW, MINI and Mercedes-Benz models leave the factory with no spare wheel. That’s great until you actually need a new tyre – most cars with run-flats can’t be fixed with a quick spare-wheel swap, and run-flats need the right equipment and care to fit without damaging the tyre or the wheel.
A Yellow Tyres-signed van turns up fully kitted – with a Snap-on tyre changer, a TIP TOP wheel balancer and a torque wrench on board – so we balance your wheels on site and tighten every wheel nut to the manufacturer’s setting, not just fit the tyre. Every run-flat we fit gets bead sealer and is balanced on the van, included in the price.
Repair or replace?
Many vehicle and tyre manufacturers advise replacing a run-flat rather than repairing it, particularly if it has been driven on while deflated – the reinforced sidewall can break down inside the tyre without any visible sign. Our fitter takes the tyre off the wheel, checks it inside and out, and tells you plainly whether it can be saved. If it can’t, we fit a new one at the same visit.
Matching the right tyre
- Run-flat markings: RFT, RSC, ROF, SSR, ZP, EMT, DSST or “Run Flat” on the tyre wall.
- OE markings: ★ (BMW), MO (Mercedes-Benz), AO (Audi), N0 (Porsche) – give us the full marking and we’ll match it.
- Staggered sizes: many BMWs and Mercedes have different sizes front and rear, so check both axles. Please read the size from the tyre wall – registration lookups can be wrong.
- Premium brands: Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Hankook, Michelin, Pirelli and Yokohama, subject to availability in your size.
Most sizes in stock, any other size usually sourced within a few hours, 7 days a week. Rare or special-order tyres need a higher, non-refundable deposit because they’re ordered in for you.
Tyre pressure warning light?
Cars with run-flats rely on a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) to warn you of a puncture, because you may not feel it. Where a TPMS valve needs attention we fit a TPMS sensor service kit – your existing sensor stays and we replace the valve stem, seal, nut and core. We don’t supply new sensors or reprogram TPMS. More on TPMS service kits.
Premium cars, fitted where they’re parked
BMW and Mercedes-Benz jobs from our fitters – car parks, kerbsides and driveways.

Run-flat tyre FAQs
Can a run-flat tyre be repaired?
Sometimes, but often not. Many vehicle and tyre manufacturers advise replacing a run-flat tyre rather than repairing it – especially once it has been driven on with little or no air, because the reinforced sidewall can be damaged inside where you can’t see it. Our fitter checks the tyre and tells you honestly which it is.
Do you fit run-flat tyres at home?
Yes. We supply and fit run-flat tyres at your home, workplace or the roadside, on 13-inch to 23-inch wheels. Bead sealer, wheel balancing, torque-set wheel nuts and disposal of your old tyres included with every tyre fitted – balanced on the machine in our van, with every wheel nut or bolt tightened with a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s setting. Before we leave, we check the pressures on all your tyres – included (except on a hard shoulder or in busy live traffic, where we leave quickly for safety). Old tyres are taken away for environmentally responsible disposal at no extra cost.
How much is a run-flat tyre fitted?
It depends on the size and brand. New tyres start from £130 fitted and premium tyres from £190 fitted; run-flat sizes are priced by size and brand, and we confirm the exact price on the phone before the van sets off. 21, 22 and 23-inch premium tyres are priced on request.
How do I know if I have run-flat tyres?
Look on the tyre wall for markings such as RFT, RSC, ROF, SSR, ZP, EMT, DSST or Run Flat. Many BMW and MINI models, and some Mercedes-Benz and other cars, come with run-flats – often with no spare wheel in the boot. If you’re not sure, send us a photo of the tyre wall on WhatsApp.
Can I replace a run-flat with a normal tyre?
We’ll talk you through it. Cars designed for run-flats usually have no spare wheel and suspension tuned for them, so we generally recommend keeping run-flats – and not mixing run-flat and non-run-flat tyres on the same axle.
Do you fit OE-marked run-flats, such as BMW star-marked tyres?
Yes. We supply and fit OE/OEM-marked tyres – for example ★ (BMW), MO (Mercedes-Benz), AO (Audi) or N0 (Porsche). Give us the full marking from the tyre wall and we’ll match it.
How far can I drive on a flat run-flat?
Check your car’s handbook – manufacturers typically quote a limited distance at reduced speed. The safest option is to stop somewhere safe and call us; the further you drive on it, the less likely it is that the tyre can be saved.
