Mobile tyre fitting in Greenwich – the quick answer

Yes – Yellow Tyres covers Greenwich (SE10) 24 hours a day. Call 020 3633 9533 and one of our own mobile tyre fitters comes to you – typically within 15–60 minutes – to repair a puncture where it’s safe, or supply and fit a new tyre on the spot. We fit 13-inch to 23-inch tyres for cars, vans and 4x4s, from premium and mid-range brands, including run-flat, noise-cancelling and OE tyres. Greenwich is part of our mobile tyre fitting service across London and the Essex borders – same fitters, same prices, agreed before we set off. See our mobile tyre fitting South East London guide.

We fit tyres for any make and model in Greenwich: cars, supercars, SUVs, 4x4s, MPVs, EVs and vans up to 3.5 tonnes, in 13–23 inch sizes. See every make and model we fit.

Prices: mobile tyre fitting in Greenwich from £130 fitted, puncture repair from £80 including call-out. Bead sealer, wheel balancing, torque-set wheel nuts and disposal of your old tyres included with every tyre fitted – balanced on the machine in our van, with every wheel nut or bolt tightened with a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s setting. Before we leave, we check the pressures on all your tyres – included (except on a hard shoulder or in busy live traffic, where we leave quickly for safety). Old tyres are taken away for environmentally responsible disposal at no extra cost. The price is agreed on the phone before the van sets off. See our prices.

Paying: Small deposit to book, balance when the job’s done – pay by SumUp link (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or American Express), bank transfer, or cash for the balance on site. How booking works.

Before we arrive: Have your tyre size ready (from the tyre wall) and make sure your locking wheel nut key is with the vehicle. How to read your tyre size.

Emergency and 24-hour tyre help in Greenwich

A flat, a blowout or a nail in the tyre can happen at any hour, and in Greenwich it’s often on or near the A102 Blackwall Tunnel Southern Approach. Our fitters work through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, and the service is the same at 2am as at 2pm. Same-day and booked fittings are available too, if your tyre is legal but needs replacing soon.

  • Get somewhere safe first – a side road, car park or lay-by – and put your hazard lights on.
  • On a fast road, get everyone out on the side away from traffic and wait behind a barrier if there is one. If you’re in danger, call 999.
  • Don’t keep driving on a flat – it can wreck the tyre and the wheel.
  • Call 020 3633 9533 with your exact location and vehicle. Have your tyre size ready when you call: it’s on the tyre wall (e.g. 205/55 R16). Not sure? Stay with the vehicle and we’ll help you find it over the phone.
  • Make sure your locking wheel nut key is with the vehicle. Lost it? Tell us when you call – we can remove most types.

Roads and trouble spots we know in Greenwich

A102 Blackwall Tunnel Southern Approach

The A102 runs from the Blackwall Tunnel past the Peninsula towards the Sun-in-the-Sands. It’s a fast red route – never stop in a live lane; leave at the next exit.

A206 Trafalgar Road and Woolwich Road

The A206 runs east from Greenwich town centre past Maze Hill and Westcombe Park towards Charlton. Bus lanes and parked cars make side roads the best place to stop.

The town centre one-way system

Traffic loops round the town centre near the Cutty Sark and Greenwich Market. If your tyre fails here, pull into a side street or car park.

A2 Shooters Hill Road

The A2 runs along the south of Greenwich Park towards Blackheath. There are few places to stop, so use a side road.

A206 Romney Road and King William Walk

The roads through the heart of Greenwich, past the Old Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark.

John Harrison Way and the Peninsula

Roads around the Greenwich Peninsula, the O2 and the new flats.

Where we’re called out most in Greenwich

Greenwich call-outs come from the O2 and North Greenwich, the Greenwich Peninsula flats, the Cutty Sark and town centre, Greenwich Park, the retail parks along Bugsby’s Way and the Westcombe Park streets.

Parking and where we can work

Most Greenwich Peninsula homes have underground parking with height limits – tell us the block and level. Event nights at the O2 make the Peninsula very busy, so we’ll plan the route in. In the town centre, controlled parking means we’ll agree a safe place to work.

Common breakdown spots in Greenwich

The A102 Blackwall Tunnel Southern Approach is the fast road through SE10, and many calls start with a puncture picked up on it. We don’t work inside the Blackwall Tunnel – if a tyre goes there, keep going slowly to the exit and stop somewhere safe. The Sun-in-the-Sands roundabout, where the A102 meets the A2, is busy with lorries.

Greenwich town centre is a one-way system with buses, coaches and visitors, and kerb strikes around the Cutty Sark and Nelson Road are common. Trafalgar Road and Woolwich Road carry heavy traffic east towards Charlton.

Typical tyre jobs in Greenwich

Many Greenwich jobs are in the car parks of the new flats on the Peninsula and around Greenwich Millennium Village – tell us the block, how to get in and any height limit. In Westcombe Park, East Greenwich and Maze Hill, we fit at the kerb on the residential streets.

We help visitors to the O2 and Greenwich Park, shoppers at the retail parks along Bugsby’s Way, and commuters using North Greenwich, Greenwich, Maze Hill and Westcombe Park stations. Our Isle of Dogs head office is just across the river.

Around the Cutty Sark and the town centre, parking is controlled and busy with visitors. If you find a flat there, tell us which car park or road you’re on, and we’ll come to you.

Real local fitters in Greenwich, not a booking middleman

You’re calling the fitter, not a booking agent. Our own vans, our own fitters, from 4 East London bases. Our own fitters are on the road 24/7 inside our coverage area, and the call is answered by the team that comes out – so we can tell you honestly when a fitter will reach you. A Yellow Tyres-signed van turns up fully kitted – with a Snap-on tyre changer, a TIP TOP wheel balancer and a torque wrench on board – so we balance your wheels on site and tighten every wheel nut to the manufacturer’s setting, not just fit the tyre.
