Emergency Tyre Call Out in Whitechapel – local know-how
Our Bethnal Green base on Cambridge Heath Road sits on the north edge of Whitechapel, so E1 call-outs are among our quickest. Night calls often come from Aldgate and the Minories side, from Commercial Road near Limehouse, and from drivers coming out of the Rotherhithe Tunnel approach on The Highway. If you’re in a hotel, hospital or office car park, give us its name, level and height limit.
Nearest Yellow Tyres base: Bethnal Green (E1), about 1 mile from the centre of E1 as the crow flies. With around 30 of our 46 fitters on the road at any hour, the nearest free fitter is sent.
We cover Whitechapel, Spitalfields, Aldgate East, Stepney, Shadwell, Brick Lane and the rest of E1.
What happens when you call
Get safe, then call
Move off the main road if you can, hazards on, everyone out on the side away from traffic. Then call us with the street or nearest junction in Whitechapel.
Size, price and time
We check your tyre size (read it from the sidewall), agree the price and give you an honest arrival time – typically 15–60 minutes.
Repaired or replaced on the spot
A Yellow Tyres-signed van arrives with tyre stock and a balancer on board. We repair the tyre if it’s safe, or fit a new one and balance it there and then.
Prices in Whitechapel: puncture repair or fitting your spare £80–£100 including the call-out; new tyres from £130 fitted, premium from £190, van tyres from £170. A-road and motorway call-outs: extra £60–£100, confirmed on the phone before we set off (no extra on local streets). A small deposit (£40–£70) confirms the booking; you pay the balance when the job’s done.

Roads in Whitechapel where we’re called out
A11 Whitechapel Road and Mile End Road
The A11 is a red route with bus and cycle lanes along most of its length. If your tyre fails, turn into a side street rather than stopping on the main road.
A13 Commercial Road
Commercial Road runs from Aldgate to Limehouse with heavy lorry and bus traffic. Side streets in Stepney and Shadwell are where we usually meet drivers.
A1203 The Highway
The Highway runs along the Wapping side of E1 to the Limehouse Link. It’s a fast red route – leave it before you stop.
Cambridge Heath Road and Commercial Street
These link Whitechapel north to Bethnal Green and Shoreditch. Narrow streets and parked cars mean we’ll agree a safe place to work.
Brick Lane and the Spitalfields streets
Narrow, busy and often crowded with pedestrians, especially at weekends. If your car is parked here, tell us the nearest junction so we can find a safe way in.
Vallance Road and Sidney Street
Residential links between Whitechapel Road, Bethnal Green and Commercial Road with plenty of parked cars and controlled bays.
Emergency Tyre Call Out Whitechapel – your questions
My tyre went on The Highway near Wapping – where should I stop?
Don’t stop in a live lane. Pull into the next side road or a safe lay-by, get everyone out away from traffic and call us. If you’re in danger, call 999.
Can you get to me in Aldgate late at night?
Yes – we work 24/7, and Aldgate is a short drive from our Cambridge Heath Road base. We agree the price on the phone first.
I’ve got a flat in a hotel car park in E1 – can you reach it?
Usually. Tell us the hotel, the car park level and any height barrier; if our van can’t get in, we’ll agree the nearest point we can reach.
Is there an extra charge on motorways or dual carriageways?
Only on A roads and motorways. A-road and motorway call-outs (any A or M route, including dual carriageway A roads) cost an extra £60–£100 on top of the normal price, because of the journey and the work involved on those roads. Normal roadside jobs on local streets have no extra charge. It’s never hidden: we confirm the full price, including any extra, on the phone before we set off. Safety first – on a hard shoulder, get behind the barrier and call 999 if you’re in danger, or National Highways on 0300 123 5000.
Do you come out to motorway hard shoulders, including the M25?
Yes – our fitters attend hard shoulders across our whole coverage area, including the M25. Safety first: get everyone out on the left and behind the barrier, and call 999 if you’re in danger (or National Highways on 0300 123 5000) before calling us.
Is it safe to wait in the car?
If you’re on a fast road, no – get everyone out on the side away from traffic and wait behind a barrier if there is one. If you’re in danger, call 999.
Why we confirm by phone: we check the size from your sidewall, lock the price before we set off (no price going up on the day) and make sure the right tyre is on the van. We’ll call you back within 10 minutes. Request a callback
